letter to a legislator
1. You will be writing a legislator about the value pharmacists bring to the health care system and team. However, you do not need to include the legislator's name. Address the letter To Whom It May Concern for now. Include examples of how pharmacists are already involved in patient care and how we can do more. You may include what you are learning in pharmacy school as a starting point.
2. To sum up what should be included, 'pretend your aunt or uncle asked you why you wanted to be a pharmacist when all they do is count pills'. How would you respond to defend your profession. How would you educate him/her on what pharmacists can really do and how they can contribute to improved patient outcomes.
3. Please have one student in each group upload the advocacy letter but be sure to include all student names on the letter so everyone receives credit.
