lesson
Please revise the attachment lesson plan and add the following missing components:
For all formal evaluations, lesson plans must be developed using VSU Lesson Plan Template GC provided in this class (see VSU Lesson Plan Template GC posted on the course shell for all detail).
Each lesson must also address the following skills:
- Integration of technology (e.g., Smartboard, iPad, computerized learning, augmentative communication device, etc.) to enhance the learning of P-12 students
- Critical thinking demonstrated by P-12 students
- Problem-solving demonstrated by P-12 students
- Communication skills demonstrated by P-12 students
- Collaborative learning demonstrated by P-12 students
- Positive social engagement demonstrated by P-12 students
Each component should be highlighted on your lesson plan, so it is clear in the lesson how you are including/incorporating that skill. For example, if you are conducting a lesson using iPads, highlight “iPad” on the lesson plan and indicate “technology integration” beside it. If you are asking the students to work in a small group, highlight “small group” on the lesson plan and indicate “collaborative learning beside it.” If you are asking questions that require critical thinking as part of the instruction, highlight the questioning on your lesson plan and indicate “critical thinking” beside it. Do the same for problem-solving, communication skills, and positive social engagement. In other words, make it very clear on the lesson plan where you are incorporating these skills. At least three skills should be included in each lesson plan, and you must provide evidence of all six skills across the semester.
Collaboration with Student Support Service Providers
In each lesson you also need to:
List the support services and/or the support service providers available in your school or district that you are familiar with and will be relevant to support students in this lesson. (These may include reading specialists, writing tutors, or special education services providers such as special education teachers, physical, occupational, or speech language therapist, interpreter, etc.) Other appropriate support personnel, may include, but are not limited to, principal, general education teacher, counselor, school psychologist, subject area specialist, ESOL teacher, gifted teacher, school social worker, section 504 coordinator.
Discuss how you will collaborate with the student support service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate services as they relate to this lesson. This may involve sharing information about the student's strengths and weaknesses, providing feedback on interventions, and monitoring the student's progress.
Thoroughly describe what you have learned about collaborating with students support service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate services as they relate to this lesson.
