The textbook stresses the importance of being aware of the impression that we make on others. In fact, it is critically important to remember that your social media presence can set a precedent for you before someone even makes your acquaintance. What does your social media presence reveal about you? Google yourself. What do you see? What would a potential employer think if he or she did the same? How could your social media presence today impact your future career opportunities?

Because of personal issue in the pass I have not had any active social media account for over the last five year maybe more. No face book, instagram or even twitter. I still tried to google myself with no results found. I started to understand that a lot of employer were checking social media pages to get a better understanding of the type of person they were hiring. Although, I never posted anything crazy I believe those platforms are just for entertainment purpose an dont really convey how hard of a worker you are. I do understand some people used it t person their person views on subject matter such as religion and politics an depend on the rhetoric in which their using can sometime come off abrasive or offensive which could clearly affect future job opportunity
