Leadership Discussion Module 6 - Transformation and Citizenship

For so long I think we live in a time where public figures no longer serve as role models or even could be considered "heroes."  Purposes of transformation and citizenship have given way to "meism." Is there / was there a leadership "hero" who is also a public figure (employed or volunteers with government, education, nonprofit) for you? Please share something about this person(s) and why he/she is a hero in your eyes.
