Leadership  is the cornerstone of the MCAA program, and this theme is carried  throughout all our courses. Using what you have already covered in  class, discuss the general requirements needed to be an effective sports  leader and then specifically identify the characteristics needed and  the challenges presented in a sports leadership role. It will be  important to research what a leader is, citing examples first in the  non-sports world and then in the specific sports leadership role you  have undertaken, i.e. Athletic Director, Coach, academic advisor to  student-athletes, or another role that you have observed. As you  identify a specific sports leadership role, please include not only the  characteristics and duties but also the challenges that will need to be  met and how you will meet those challenges.  Your Personal Philosophy of  Leadership Summary should reflect your authentic beliefs about  what it means to be an effective leader. Please conclude your summary with your definition of leadership. Please  include and weave the following into your content.
