With the file SC_PPT365_2021_1a_ FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.
PROJECT STEPS
You are helping Silver River's chief engagement specialist create a presentation for soft skills workforce training. Start by formatting the presentation as follows:
Change the Theme Colors to Orange to match company branding.
On Slide 1 ("Silver River Career Consultants"), resize the picture to 13.33" wide so that it covers the entire width of the slide.
On Slide 2 ("Hard Skills vs. Soft Skills"), edit the bulleted lists as follows:
Bold the words "Hard Skills" and "Soft Skills" to draw attention to them.
Change the font size of the words "Hard Skills" and "Soft Skills" to 24 point.
Delete the unnecessary text "for specific job".
With Slide 2 still displaying, enter the text Ask audience for examples, write on flip chart. into the Notes pane.
On Slide 3 ("Hard Skills Get You Hired"), italicize the text "Soft Skills" to emphasize it.
Insert a new Slide 4 using the Section Header layout, and then enter and format text to focus the audience's attention as follows:
Enter Communication as the title.
Enter Increases Productivity as the subtitle.
Underline the words "Increases Productivity".
On Slide 5 ("Why It Matters"), modify the bulleted list text as follows:
Increase the indent of "19% Succeed" by one level.
Decrease the indent of "26% Cannot accept feedback" by one level.
Select all the text in the placeholder, and then change the font color to Orange, Accent 1, Darker 25% (5th column, 5th row in the Theme Colors palette). ( Hint: Before completing Step 11, the color displays as Orange. After completing Step 11, the color displays as Blue.)
On Slide 6 ("What Is Emotional Intelligence?"), change the slide layout to Picture with Caption to adjust the readability of the slide.
On Slide 7 ("Forecast: Success"), balance the visual elements in the slide as follows:
Apply bullets to the paragraph in the middle content placeholder.
Use the right content placeholder to insert the file Support_PPT365_2021_1a_Staff.jpg. ( Hint: If necessary, close the Design Ideas pane and allow PowerPoint to add automatic alt text.)
Resize the picture to 3" tall.
Move Slide 7 to become the last slide in the presentation, Slide 8.
Check the Spelling in the presentation to identify and correct any spelling errors.
When PowerPoint finds multiple instances of a misspelled word, accept all instances of the suggested spelling change.
When PowerPoint suggests a spelling change from one word to two words, ignore the suggested spelling change.
When PowerPoint finds a single instance of a misspelled word, accept the instance of the suggested spelling change.
You decide to send presentation to Silver River's marketing department to review the branding. Change the theme to Office to simplify the design elements.
In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
