JUSTIFICATIONS FOR MAJOR PUNISHMENT

Choose one (1) of the multiple justifications and discuss with the class why you believe that specific justification is problematic or not really the best justification to punish a criminal. First, begin by presenting the actual term and the definition provided in the literature.  Then, using the book and the lecture, make certain to find details and support for your argument by citing major theorists who have contributed or provided support for that particular justification.
