Overview

This module will lead you through the necessary steps one must take to transition the evidence into practice successfully. As a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) innovator, you may face unexpected barriers hindering the change implementation. These barriers may be related to the organization, the research, finances, or unique to you personally. How you approach the challenges could profoundly affect your implementation. The best practice is to be organized and systematic with your approach to the implementation, including all necessary stakeholders, planning for contingencies, establishing timelines, using a framework, and being a professional DNP role model.

This week, students will reflect on the necessary qualities of a DNP innovator and continue developing Chapter Two by focusing on writing the literature review. As you approach the development of your literature review, remember the review is a synthesis of your themed findings that support your DNP project gap. You are not writing a research paper informing the reader of the background. Please see the supporting materials in the course and DNP Lounge related to crafting the literature review.

Journal Question:

Think of a nurse innovator. What characteristics does that person have? How might you model these characteristics as you are transitioning into the Doctor of Nursing Practice role? How will you leverage these characteristics to help you be a change agent for your project?

Each short-answer Journal response will be a minimum of 300 words.

No citation, reference, or APA style is necessary.
