After viewing the Getting to Know Students and Differentiating Instruction PowerPoints and reviewing the SIOP model (described on page 21), Differentiating Instruction (described on pages 44-48) and the Universal Design for Learning Model (described on pages 49-51) identify at least 3 strategies that you think are important for teachers to use in the classroom to meet the needs of diverse learners and why you selected those strategies.
  2. After reading about the differences between UDL and traditional teaching what differences did you connect with and why?
  3. View the SIOP video on Comprehensible Input in the learning activities folder. Described three strategies illustrated in the video that can help make curriculum comprehensible to English learners.
