   Structural theories 

Any of the theories presented in this unit have made an a priori (a presumption determination about the situation) decision to accept either a consensus model or a conflict model about the structure and responses of society. As a result, that group of theories will all share the basic tenets of consensus or conflict. Consider which of the two perspectives more accurately describes the contemporary situation in your community.
