First…  How would you categorize the movie La Jetée?  Try placing this film within each one of the three types of movies we’re exploring.  Which characteristics/elements would favor it as a narrative?  Documentary?  Experimental?

Second….  Why did Chris Marker choose to tell his story primarily through stills?  And what is the signification of the shot that captures a character’s movement (at 19:00 in the movie link posted below)?
