The numbering system is used with a pain level chart. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst i am always asked how is my pain level, when going into an urgent care. I feel this good for children. But as people get older epecially with the way drugs are used today. I feel that health care providers should not take an adults word for the pain level they say. They should evaluate the patients expressions, blood pressure, and pulse.
