Socialization plays a fundamental role in personal and societal development. Review the nature versus nurture debate as described in Ch. 5 of Introduction to Sociology.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

• How is nature different from nurture in the process of socialization? Define each term, and explain your response.
• Consider an individual to use as an example to apply the nature versus nurture debate; it can be yourself, a celebrity’s child, or one in a set of twins separated at birth and later reunited. Has nature or nurture contributed more to their socialization process? Has nature or nurture contributed more to their development of self? Explain your response, and provide supporting examples.
