Intervention and Ethical Decision-Making
5 DQ 1
My definition of spiritual care would be to provide the patient with any logical spiritual request that is to benefit them in any way. An example of this would be to pray with the patient if they request to. This differs from the description given in the topic readings because it does not elaborate as much as the topic readings. The topic readings cover so much more than I initially thought of. For example, the topic readings cover all aspects of the patient even down to if they request a specialized diet.
What is your definition of spiritual care? How does it differ or accord with the description given in the topic readings? Explain.
