NEW JERSEY CRIMINAL STATUTE, NEW JERSEY STATUTES ANNOTATED (N.J.S.A) 2C:21-22, (UNAUTHORIZED PRACTICE OF LAW IN THE FOURTH DEGREE), reads in pertinent part:
A person is guilty of the above crime if the person knowingly engages in the unauthorized practice of law.
In order for you to find the defendant guilty of the unauthorized practice of law the State must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following four elements: (1) The defendant engaged in the practice of law; (2) The defendant knew he/she was engaged in the practice of law; (3) The defendant's conduct was not authorized by law; (4) The defendant knew that his/her conduct was not authorized by law.
