After watching a portion of the documentary, Searching for the Roots of 9/11 by Thomas Friedman, conduct additional research to understand why 9/11 happened.

Based on the reasons provided by the people Friedman interviewed in the countries he visited in the Middle East, and based on scholarly and other authoritative sources you have read about the reasons for 9/11, write a well documented and structured paper that explains the reasons for the attack on the United States on september 11, 2001.  You should consult at least four authoritative sources.
