Discussion Prompt: 

After watching the three assigned videos on intake and interview/assessment skills, respond to at least two of the prompts below. 

• Engagement and Rapport:
  Across the three videos, identify specific strategies used by the social worker to establish rapport and engage the client during intake. Which strategies appeared most effective, and why?
• Interviewing Techniques:
  Discuss at least two interviewing skills demonstrated in the videos how these skills support information gathering and client engagement.
• Critical Reflection:
  Identify one skill you feel confident using and one skill you would like to strengthen based on what you observed in the videos. How will you intentionally practice or develop this skill in future client interactions?
