Where do schemas come from? Schemas are a part of one's experience and childhood experiences have significant influence on schema, or personality, development. Three core elements of a person's schema include the view of self, the view of others, and the view of the world and life (Mozdzierz, Peluso, & Lisiecki, 2014).Core schemas represent a map of the world.
