1.Samanta Banks Student Post: Recruit Request The process I choose to discuss is the submission of Administrative recruit request. The current process is the hiring manager submits the request to share point (which is a share interoffice information Site), which Notifies the assigned specialist, who sends it to the allocation team.  They ensure the position is vacant and the that the department can hire, the allocation team then sends it the classification team who finds a position description for the position and sent it back to the specialist. This process can take up to 30 days.

The system must track all submissions by sending the request to the allocation team first.

The system must display which department is currently working on the request.

The system must require all users to update the status Of work they have completed.

The system must automatically notify all parties involved when each section is completed or updated.

The system must be able to generate reports of completed and incomplete work.

The system will create a better flowing system. The HR department needs to work with the IT department to develop a software that can reverse the process which will cut down the processing time. The productivity will be significantly improved because it will allow consolidation between all users (Service-Now, 2019). The system will make communication better an move the hiring process faster.

2.Damian Johnson Student Post: Administrative tasks There is a process at work for fulfilling areas of our contract. In our contract we have measurable objectives that need to be completed. For my portion of the contract the objectives are not measurable land left vague. It makes it difficult to accomplish a task that reads, “administrative action”. This doesn’t provide an objective that is measurable and due to how vague it is I can lump a large portion of work under that title. I chose this as an example because it I find it annoying and have actually had to sit down and rectify this issue.

· The system must track task to be complete.

· The system must display to the user what stage in the process the task is in.

· The system must require the technician to update their work on the task.

· The system must automatically notify both the user and the technician when work has been completed or updated.

· The system must be able to export work (completed and uncompleted).

To address some of the above issues we have out sourced to a company that develops software to accomplish the above tasks and more. The system can improve productivity and allow consolidated service between technician and the user (Service-Now, 2019). Creating better communication throughout the enterprise.

3.Sherita Vassall Student Post: Timecards The process that I would like to see improved at my job is the timecard process. I understand the need for timecard however I feel that after all these years it should be an easier way to complete this process.  According to business.com “Kronos, employees can manage their time via wall-mounted timeclocks, web browsers, telephones, and mobile applications. The timeclock allows staff members to clock in and out using a finger, proximity reader, or badge swipe. The clocks can also be used to view schedules and ask for time off.” It’s about time all timecards become more automated.

· The intended results for the timecard system is a more streamline approach to completing the process.

· The one requirement is to save time.

· The system performs the work for you based on the employee logging into the workstation.

· Before signing the timecard at the end of the work week the employee must verify the information is correct and make correction were they are needed.

My company uses a system called Unanet.  Unanet boast about its 20 year of software development which could be the reason that it appears to be behind the times.  After reviewing the company’s site it is clear that the system is not geared toward the employee.  The system is support by the data that is manually entered by the employee.  The system offers a great deal of tracking and monitoring however the employee does not benefit from the system in any other way other than the pay at the end of the pay period.

Using an automated system has potential to save the company and save the employee time which could provide a more productive employee.  The employee only requirement would be log into the site once a week and verify that that information is correct.  The system would be tracking the employee’ time based on logging into the assigned workstation.    If the employee does not log into the system by the end of the work day the system will automatically charge them leave.  An automatic email will be generated informing employee of their leave status.  If an employee do not log in the entire day.  In the event that the employee desires to change the status the automatic entry a statement will be required before changes are made.
