Infectious Disease Research Project Report

Topic- Tuberculosis

Rubric

· Individual Microbe Report = 50 points

· Each individual will write a report on a microbe chosen from the class list (or requested).

· Requirements:

· Formatting:

· Times New Roman size 12

· Double-spaced

· Margins must be 1” on all sides

· Only use third person (no I, you, we)

· Do not use contractions

· Heading may only include your name and the title of the report

· 5 points

· 3 pages of content (to the very last line available) (see page 2 for specifics)

· Page length does NOT include title of the report or headings

· No bullet points (-5 points)

· No more than 6 pages of content

· 10 points for length

· 20 points for content

· You must use the correct nomenclature for microbes. ( Bacillus subtilis or B. subtilis)

· 5 points

· 5+ references cited within the content

· You may use whatever style of referencing you are most comfortable

· MLA, APA, Chicago, etc

· You may use your textbook/labmanual/MasteringMicrobiology as a reference

· Online references: CDC, WHO, NIH, etc

· Example of a bad online reference: http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/

· Example of a good online reference: http://www.cdc.gov/zika/
