Need assistance getting started? See “Research Methods.” http://linguistics.byu.edu/faculty/henrichsenl/ResearchMethods/RM_3_02.html  Reputable sources for the reference list appear in MLA, APA, Chicago Manual of Style, or Turabian format depending on the preferred style associated with your major. Psychology uses APA, whereas English uses MLA or Chicago/Turabian. If you are uncertain about these citation styles, see Miami University Libraries and locate the “Citations pencil” directly below the LIBRARIES & COLLECTIONS heading at the upper right side of the screen. Check also the “References” Tab in your word-processing program. Then look for the “Citations & Bibliography” area and find the drop-down list headed “Style.” The “Bibliography” heading opens up options to insert your sources’ information for appropriate formatting. The following sites may also be helpful: Easy Bib, Works Cited for You, and Cite This for Me. Material quoted or paraphrased in the text body must be acknowledged with a footnote, parenthetical reference, or an endnote.
