1. Each of these empires, Mughal, Safavid and Ottoman all followed Islam. Pick two and discuss how they differ in their intellectual history.
2. Discuss how the Muslims under the Ottoman Empire handled other religions. You are also to look at how the Ottomans dealt with those who were considered non-believers or gentiles.
3. In the chapters you read this week, were there any weaknesses discussed for each of these empires and what effect did these weaknesses have on these empires.
