Importance of studying theology in the modern world

Why should theology matter in the modern world? And here we are not talking about going to Church or going to religious services. As seen in Chapters 37-42, Theology “speaks” to the modern world and all of the conditions that people experience. As a result, why is it important that people study and work in the field of Theology? What does Theology have to say to the world we live in?
