Impact of mobile computing on medical systems usability
Although the EHR improves clinical documentation and consistency, some clinicians observe that their time to document patient encounters increases rather than decreases. Having readily accessible mobile devices such as tablet computers, mobile carts, bedside terminals and even smartphones can be one way to provide less interruption to nurse and physician workflow at bedside.
Below are two healthcare scenarios that describe the use of mobile devices.
Review the scenarios and respond to the corresponding questions. Save the Word document for your submission. To respond, conduct a search using the Rasmussen College library and locate materials on mobile computing in medicine. Be sure to responsibly use citations for research sources and make sure your paper is free of spelling and grammar errors. Submit your completed assignment by following the directions below.
