Impact as a Leader

This assignment has two parts. Please complete both parts in the same document and label each part for clarity. 

Part 1: Surface-level diversity and deep-level diversity are two areas we, as leaders, need to be sensitive to in the day-to-day management of our healthcare entity. Use the following quote from page 125 of your textbook and compose a 250-300-word essay explaining how your current place of employment models that statement and suggest some ways you, as a future leader, might improve the internal culture. Be sure to address both surface-level diversity issues and deep-level diversity issues. Leaders and members who employ inclusionary practices such as soliciting input from all stakeholders in the healthcare process, recognizing successful practices and consistently facilitating positive communication create psychological safety, which encourages participation and engagement in collaborative healthcare practices. (Weiss, Tilin, & Morgan, 2018, p. 125). 

Part 2: Sherene Zolno and Rick Skillman authored a book in 2011 entitled Coaching Certification in Whole System IQ and Appreciative Inquiry. Table 6-1 in our textbook (page 110) captures the attitudes of leadership as they are tied to the various roles leaders play. In a 500-word essay, list each of the five roles and provide a detailed explanation of those individuals from your past or current life that have modeled each of those roles and attitudes. You may have one person identified for each role or you may have a single person who filled more than one of the roles. This is your story and your reflection on your past. What impact have they had on who you are today as a leader?
