Assignment 2: Applying for a U.S. Visa

Mark Adams has been looking for a wife for many years. After speaking with a friend, he has decided to use an agency to find a wife from Russia. He understands that the agency will find him a match, but he has to do the paperwork for obtaining a visa for his new wife.

Mr. Adams comes to your office to ask your supervising attorney about the process of getting an immigrant visa for his soon-to-be wife to become a permanent resident of the United States. Your supervising attorney discusses the matter with you and asks you to write a letter to Mr. Adams describing the process of securing the visa and what forms he needs to fill out as well as providing a time-line for how long the entire process will take. Your supervising attorney also asks you to fill out the appropriate forms for Mr. Adams.
