b. How and why you believe it will improve patient outcomes and/or improve the delivery of health care.

According to the Apple website, its goal is to improve medical care through monitoring offered by the application. The software will allow patients and providers to monitor and share data because the patient can download in PDF format the electrocardiogram report to shows to its healthcare provider (www.apple.com). Further, It is a reality that today's society is very attached to its electronic devices, we carry our smartphones and smartwatch everywhere, and this allows constant monitoring and can help save lives. I believe that this application can help patients not only to receive abnormalities in their heart rate but also to improve their lifestyle and promote empowerment and commitment to their health. Many times patients go to doctors, and the provider shows the results to the patient, but the patient fails to understand their state of health until it is too late. However, when your smartwatch literally turns the screen on red and notifies you that something is happening in your heart, the patient will become aware and start making changes in their lifestyle. Also, according to Deal. 2018, the patient will be able to inform his/her doctor so he can order a professional electrocardiogram; the doctor will be able to be informed of the cardiac abnormalities and detect early any abnormalities in the patient's heart (www.hackernoon.com).
