i need an answer of this statistics question in less than 6 hours
The question is derived from a story in the RTD about the increase in crime during a full moon. They say that in all of 2017 Richmond averaged 98.5 crimes reported per day, but during the 12 days where there was a full-moon the average was 102.7 crimes reported per day. For full credit, give me a statistical argument, complete with any necessary numbers, whether this represents a significant increase/difference. For partial credit, tell me what additional information you might need to answer the question and how you might go about making the argument (feel free to make up reasonable values to demonstrate the calculation). I will be keeping an eye out for excessive similarities in answers, so work on your own and keep your results to yourselves. Another tidbit from the RTD article is that on only 2 of the twelve full moons did the number of reported crimes dip below 98.5. This might be useful if you assume the crime frequency is normally distributed. Please let me know if you can do it?
