Human Resource Management J. Moore SPH 106 Individual Assignment: Icebreaker Speech Outline

Students were required to select either a movie or a book that they wish to recommend to the class in Module 1. (CO4 & MO - 2.4)

You will use the outline template that was provided for you in the "Wrap Up" section in Module 1 to build your outline. However, I have provided a screenshot of it below:

1. Please make sure you keep all the headings (hook, thesis statement, transitional sentences, main points, subpoints, recap, call to action, and so forth) in your outline. Your outline should look exactly like the above except with your movie or book information in it. 

2. You should  NOT submit an essay for this assignment. 

· By using outlines instead of full essays, speech courses emphasize the importance of effective delivery skills such as eye contact, vocal variety, and body language. Outlines encourage speakers to focus on conveying key messages orally rather than relying heavily on written text. Basically, it encourages students to prepare and practice presenting their ideas instead of reading it word-for-word to their audience. 

3. Start rehearsing your outlines in front of friends or family members, so you will be prepared to record your speeches in the next module.
