This week, we will take a closer look at how carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and amino acids function in the body.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: 

  • What have you learned this week since beginning your learning activities?
  • How might this information affect your choice of foods or diet plans?
  • What are your favorite healthy sources of carbohydrates?
  • What types of fats are listed on the labels of your favorite packaged foods?
  • Let’s say that you and a friend need to eat the same amount of protein every day and one of you is vegetarian. What dietary precautions should you both take to ensure that you will get the protein quality you need?
