Examine Exhibit 2.5 "Leader Profiles Using the Five-Factor Model" (p.37). Outline the 5-Factor Model in one sentence. Then, explain how each of the 5-factors exist on a continuum, and--while present in all types of leaders--manifest differently between the highly effective leader and the less effective leader. Turn to Exercise 2.1 (p.40), and read the Francoeur (2008) PhD dissertation and summarize how the researchers conclusions apply to leadership effectiveness. Finally, reflect on any leader you've encountered who has been effective despite approaching leadership in a manner far different from your own approach or the approach you'd prefer as a co-leader or subordinate.
