For this assignment, we are going to try to be more creative--and to learn some basic literary terms! [By the way, this assignment is also explained in the handout on "First Assignments...]

Please find "the photo"--it's on BB and in the PRINT packet. For this "prep," please create a "scene" or two based on this photo. This is an assignment that allows for a lot of imagination as you create narrators, dialogues, characters, sequences, settings, and so on!

This "prep" can become a good place to experiment a bit. And if the experiment "works," you can and should use this for Paper #2!

I expect one or two "scenes." They need to be posted on BB before midnight on TUESDAY, MARCH 23rd. I expect that the post will be at least 300 words long (how that adds up depends on how you create your "scenes"). It is worth 4 points (all-or-nothing). As always, you can send me questions and notes via email as we go along.
