Think of a recent example where you have had difficulty using a website or a technology (or, if you are a help desk support tech, a person that you helped, or, if you have helped a family member/friend to use a website or a technology. Describe the occasion where you have had difficulty using a website or a technology. What was the site/technology? Why was the site/technology difficult to use (this could relate to ergonomics, human behavior, or universal usability)? How did you overcome this difficulty? Can you identify a change in the design that would have made the device, site easier to use? Pick one of the three challenges to universal usability. According to Shneiderman, what kinds of interface and information design practices could be used to overcome these challenges?
