M4A1 - Database Assignment

As the IT Director for a large tertiary care center, you were asked to create a database that will collect patient information for the oncology department. You narrowed the database structure to either a relational or a NoSQL database model. The head of oncology has asked that you attend a meeting to elaborate on the ability of these models to meet his team's needs and get their feedback prior to making a final decision. 

In a paper, compose your argument for each model to share with the oncology team. Then Make a formal recommendation for the type of database that would best meet their needs. 

Consider the following when constructing your paper:

· Your paper should be APA formatted, including a cover page and a works cited page referencing 1-5 resources you used.

· Your paper Should include 5 sections, each noted with a bolded header as follows:

· Introduction: 1 paragraph that introduces the paper, noting that you will be comparing and contrasting a relational and NoSQL database to determine the best recommendation for the Oncology Department.

· Relational Database: 1-3 paragraphs that discusses what a relational database is and how it functions, including a discussion of what the benefits and limitations. 

· NoSQLDatabase: 1-3 paragraphs that discusses what a NoSQL database is and how it functions, including a discussion of what the benefits and limitations. 

· Formal Recommendation: 1-2 paragraphs discussing your formal recommendation and why you feel this is the best recommendation for the oncology department.

· You can supplement your paper with external research through the WWW or through the Library.

· Consider utilizing the Writing Center, as needed, to receive feedback on your paper before submitting
