Read: American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, by Colin Woodard. 

Answer the following questions from the book: 

1. Choose ONE of the following regions to discus in your paper – El Norte, Tidewater, Greater Appalachia, Yankeedom, Deep South, or Midlands. 

2. Trace your region through its founding, the American Revolution, and through the American Civil War. 

3. Include an analysis, especially looking at the following questions: What, if any, future implications does Woodard make regarding the region you chose? Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not? Be specific.
