 Historical perspective paper: 750-1000 words, 40 points. First, choose one of the historical figures we have discussed in class or who wrote one of the primary sources we discussed in class. Think about this person’s worldview. Then, choose a primary source we read for class (not written by the historical figure you chose). Write a paper analyzing this source from the point of view of the historical figure you have chosen. What would someone with his/her worldview think about the ideas in this document? Why? Alternately, write the paper in the form of a letter to a historical figure we have discussed in class, discussing the first person’s response to the second person’s ideas. Anachronism is fine in this assignment (i.e. it is fine if the historical figure would not have actually had access to the document you choose.) Be creative!
