History Monograph Response Essay

Fiege has written an environmental history of disorder in colonial New England, focusing on what colonists said and did when things involving land, animals, diseases, bodies, and other biophysical things went wrong.  Explain the colonists’ beliefs in the supernatural and nature during the 17th century.  What argument does Fiege make about the role of nature (and colonists’ ideas about disorder in nature) in the witch trial hysteria?  Make sure to support your argument with quotes/evidence from the text.

1. The paper should be typed, double-spaced, in size 12 Times New Roman or a similar font.

3. Paper should be 2 pages long.
4. Page numbers are required.
5. Quotations should be cited. You may choose the citation style that you prefer, but it must conform to MLA, APA, or Chicago style.
