Description:

Choose one of the following topics for your essay:

· For one of our civilizations this semester, select what you think is its most significant characteristic and argue why

· Choose a person, event or idea that you believe was historically significant to a particular civilization and argue how and why

Requirements:

· 2 to 3 pages in length

· You may use any writing style you wish (Chicago, MLS, Turabian, etc)

· You may use first person

· Minimum of 3 sources

o Wikipedia is not a valid source

o Use sources that a reasonable person would accept as have credible knowledge of the topic

· All facts, quotations and analysis you may use from one of your sources must be noted in the essay. You may use any style of notation you choose

· Include a Works Cited page that lists your sources. Use any bibliographic style you wish. The Works Cited page does not count as part of the length requirement above

Submission:

Go into the essay assignment folder and click on the dropbox provided. Attach your essay document and hit submit
