Write a three page, double-spaced paper with Microsoft Word (700-900 words) on your experience in the United States (and/or other Western countries) and compare and contrast this experience with the culture (e.g., the laws, customs, holidays, etc.) from your native country. Feel free to use the first person (i.e., "I think that..." or "I feel that..."). Use personal experiences and examples, and be sure to tie it into the history of the world (especially the history of the United States and the Middle East). This is due on Thursday, August 8, by the beginning of class at 1:00 pm. Late assignments will be docked 10% per day as outlined in the syllabus. Assignments that are short of the above word count will be docked as well. Turn the assignment in on Moodle as a Word document by dragging the file into the assignment slot.
