Please remember to start with an introduction.  Tell me what you are writing about and why.  If you are relying on case law be sure to give me the full name of the case.  Don’t bury the law in unnecessary facts.  Facts are important, but need to include only the important facts that relate to the legal issue you are addressing.  Finish the paper with a summary and conclusion.  It is very helpful to outline your paper before you start writing. Feel free to express your opinion on your topic.  But when you state your opinion, consider what someone with a different opinion might think.  Try to answer the opposing view in your personal analysis. this topic is not merely about the facts of those cases.  This is a law class, so you need to emphasize how the law relating to deadly use of force has been applied in each instance.  We need the facts of the cases you choose, but the analysis needs emphasize the legal issues that relate to the event, any decision to prosecute, and how the case was resolved.
