This week you will write a paper based on the role of an addictions counselor using Motivation for Treatment and Change in Substance Abuse Treatment.  

Answer the following questions:

1. What skills are required by health care professionals in substance abuse facilities to motivate behavior changes in clients?
2. What are the risks associated with low client motivation?
3. Describe one way to motivate behavioral change in clients and provide an example of how you would assess effectiveness.
