In this assignment you will analyze current and emerging evidence of pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic principles that are basic to the mechanism of action of drug classes, using your learning in this course. Next you will specifically address pharmaceuticals regarding pain management. 

· Access the Unit 9 template and ensure you complete your name and the required information. Use the headers in the template provided.

· Begin with an introductory paragraph on general considerations related to the actions of pain management agents.

· Next address pharmacodynamics of pain management therapies specifically. Provide an example. 

· Next address pharmacokinetics of pain management therapies. Provide an example. 

· Next address mechanism of actions of pain management therapies. Provide an example.

· Address Pain Management therapies key points. 

· Include legal/ethical considerations to prescribing pain management pharmaceuticals that are controlled.

· Identify policies that influence prescribing schedule 2 medications 

· Include the importance of assessment and assessment tools. 

· Finally address non-pharmacological pain therapies.

· Provide 2-4 sentences per section.

· Then complete the table component within the template. 

· You must list one specific drug in each class and place the name of the drug under the class. 

· The last section of the table should have content on the use of the drug regarding therapeutic monitoring, assessment scale or tool for monitoring and goals of therapy

· Refer to your text and readings to help you choose a drug from the class. Include 2-4 items/ key points per section based on your literature search. 

· The template sections will expand as you add content. Use key words with bulleted content or brief descriptions. Do not paste large content. 

· You will have addressed 6 medications one from each listed classification among the 6 columns.

· You may add the citation under the drug names. Include references on your reference page. 

· Keep the headings within the essay portion bolded. Polish and keep the template and the table neat. Be sure the font is Ariel 10 within the table. It should be readable, meaningful, organized and not wordy.
