Help with APA cite

The essay must be at least three paragraphs in length. You will be graded on the completeness of your answer, how you relate and apply the concepts to real-world examples, and your writing skills. Use a word processing program to check spelling and grammar, and then copy and paste your answer into the submission box. When you paste your essay, any formatting will be lost. This is ok as you will not be graded on the formatting of the essay (line spacing, font sizes, margins, etc.).

You are required to cite all sources used in writing your essay with APA citation formatting.

At a minimum, you are required to use:

At least ONE online resource NOT included in the lesson material OR the lesson material itself.

Once you have used an outside source, you may use your lesson material OR additional outside resources.

A few tips on this assignment:

Be sure to cite your sources. When in doubt, cite. Sources must be cited in APA format and will be verified.

Your writing will be checked for spelling, grammar, and completion.

Apply knowledge with fact-based sources to make your point or explain a topic.

Compose your essay in a word processing program to take advantage of the review tools.

Essay Question

1. Visit the Free Software Foundation (FSF) web page concerning the definition of free software at http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html(opens in a new tab). Review the content on the website. Write a short paragraph on the meaning of "free software". Be sure to identify the four essential freedoms. In order for freedoms 1 and 3 to be meaningful, what does the FSF feel you need to access? (Please watch the numbering of the freedoms, it’s a little different on the FSF website.)
