Healthcare IT Paper

 Students will prepare a paper around a healthcare IT related topic of interest to him/her. This may be a topic that the student wants to learn more about, has had some experience with, or thinking about doing research later. Students should decide early in the semester on the topic for this paper and have a quick conversation via phone or email with the instructor to ensure that it is appropriate for this assignment. 

This paper should include: 

1. Introduction and description of the topic 

2. Background/Issues surrounding the topic 

3. Impact on healthcare 

4. Findings/Recommendations 

5. Conclusion

Depending on the topic selected, there may be other areas to include not listed above. 

Be sure to include knowledge you have gained this semester to help you prepare the paper. Use APA format, 6th edition. Use Times New Roman, 12 font, regular 1” margins.  

Minimum 8 pages (excluding title page and references). Usually topics can be covered in 8-12 pages.
