Health unit 4 discussion
The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 required all states in America to raise their minimum purchase and public possession of alcohol age to 21. Yet, a person is considered an adult at the age of 18. At that point, they can get married, join the military, serve on a jury, work full time, and vote. Nevertheless, the drinking age in the country is still 21. Why do you think the legal drinking age comes three years after a person is considered an adult? Do you agree or disagree with the legal drinking age in the United States? If you disagree, what do you think the legal drinking age should be?
