Dermatologist, who sometimes note the location of nevi (mole) on an outline of the body , and ophthalmologist, who frequently document changes to the retina on a drawing of the eye .  Annotated drawing provide an excellent  means of recording the location Ana’s size of certain observed findings in a physical exam. 
My sister had  sores all underneath her arm pit and ever so often , they did drawing of under her arm and they kept it on filed plus gave her a copy to take to another doctor.  They also did this to reference to see whether or not the medicine they was prescribing to her was ineffective or effective.
