Health Care System in Turmoil

 Discuss why the current health care system is in turmoil. Identify two major problems of health care and analyze the impact of each of the chosen problems on consumers and the community.  Describe the benefits and risks of national health insurance.  

 The ACA that was enacted in 2010 was a health care reform policy. The ACA dramatically changed the U.S. health care landscape. The ACA goals were to reduce the number of uninsured, make coverage affordable to all, and expand access to care. Since the adoption of the ACA, approximately 20 million people have become newly insured, and another 24 million individuals have gained access to subsidized or free care through tax credits and Medicaid expansion. Currently, there have been repeated calls from both sides of the political spectrum to repeal the Act and replace it with other alternative forms (RAND Health, 2022).
