Part 1: Directions: Please answer the following question. Your response should be  1-1½ pages in length. 

 

In class we discussed the benefits for people who engage in random acts of kindness. There is a huge emphasis on kindness in our culture, with some people claiming that engaging in small acts of kindness can have “ripple effects” that will ultimately change the world.

 

In your opinion, is this kind of thinking- that small acts of kindness can ultimately change our society for the better- too naïve and unrealistic, or do you think that these random acts will have a tangible positive effect in our society?
