Group Observation Paper

Students are expected to form observe or participate in a type of group virtual online, you-tube video, community organizations, or social media gatherings and write a five page paper addressing the following group characteristics: Keep in mind there are two categories of groups- therapeutic  and task groups.  

• Name of Group
• Type of group
• Membership Criteria 
• Demographics of group members (gender, age, race, socio-economic status, education status etc.)
• Purpose of group
• Goals of Group
• Dynamics of groups (process, who speak first, second ..., leadership's role, how does the group is conducted, membership lead group etc. )
• Style of Leadership
• Level of Participation of group members
• Leadership use of theories (empowerment model, psycho-dynamic, cognitive restructuring, residency model, ecological model, crisis intervention model.....)
• The stage of group development (planning, beginning, working, and ending stage)
