Group Dynamics

Creation of Groups: "Elements, Structure, Status"

Students will "hypothetically create a group" with all the characteristics and elements discussed in class. This is a longitudinal assignment, meaning it will be expanded as new elements of study are introduced throughout the course.

For this module, each student will write a document that includes:

· Their own definition of their "group" in their own words

· What, according to their criteria, are the characteristics of their group

· How the group develops

· What type of group it is

· How the group functions

· Structural Variables:

· Goals

· Rules

· Type of leadership the created group has

 

Contribute a minimum of 2 pages. It should include at least 2 academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.

· Submit your assignment by 11:59 PM Eastern on Sunday.

· Review the rubric to determine how your assignment will be graded.

· Your assignment will be run through Turnitin to check for plagiarism.
